UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State is set to host the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships Friday as it continues its postseason slate. The Blue and White Courses will host the races, with the women’s 6K set to begin at noon while the men’s 10K will start at 1 p.m.

PENN STATE OUTLOOK
Penn State’s women’s team enters Friday’s meet ranked No. 20 in the nation and No. 3 in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The Nittany Lion men enter competition with a No. 6 regional ranking.
Most recently, the Nittany Lion cross country team traveled to Champaign, Illinois, opening postseason competition at the Big Ten Championships. The women’s team posted a fourth-place finish while the men’s team finished eighth. Florence Caron and Brian DiCola earned All-Big Ten recognition for their outstanding performances in the meet. Penn State seeks to build off its successful outing against the new-look Big Ten at home against regional competition with trips to the NCAA Cross Country Championships on the line.
THE NCAA MID-ATLANTIC REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Last season, Penn State’s women’s team finished second overall in the regional meet, qualifying for the NCAA Cross Country Championships for the first time since 2019. Each of Penn State’s top four finishers placed inside the top 15 and earned all-region honors.
The men’s team earned a pair of All-Region. The pair of Penn State runners pushed the men’s team to finish in fourth place.
