UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women’s gymnastics team was ranked No. 21 in the WCGA preseason poll, the organization announced Tuesday.
Coming off an outstanding season in which it produced an NCAA Regional Final appearance as a team, a Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and a North East Region Co-Gymnast of the Year, Penn State enters the 2025 season once again inside the top 25 in the country.
The Nittany Lions are set to introduce a strong freshman class when they take the floor for the first time in the new year. Head Coach Sarah Brown added five talented freshmen to her team’s 2025 roster, the majority of whom will aim to contribute to the group’s success right away.
Penn State finished 40th, 25th, and 15th in the final rankings of its three most recent seasons, showing exponential growth in a short period of time. With this year’s roster, the Nittany Lions are primed to make a strong postseason push in 2025.
