UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State men's basketball program teamed up with Centre County Youth Service Bureau to help provide a holiday shopping spree for disadvantaged children from the State College area, helping to make holiday wishes a reality for 25 local children Sunday.
Each Nittany Lion player and staff member was paired with a local child for the shopping trip and helped each child fill up their shopping cart with everything from toys, to clothes, to televisions and video game consoles.
Each child received $300 with which to shop thanks to generous contributions from local companies.
This is the fourth-straight year that the Nittany Lion basketball program has teamed up with Centre County Youth Service Bureau to help provide a holiday shopping spree for local youth.
