UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Penn State Men’s Tennis team and head coach Bruce Lipka has announced their Spring 2024 schedule. The Nittany Lions will host 19 home matches this season.
The schedule consists of 28 matchups, including 13 Big Ten opponents and 15 non-conference matches.
The Nittany Lions will kick off their season at home in a busy back-to-back double header weekend. On Saturday Jan. 25 the men will face Temple and Fordham, and Quinnipiac and Bucknell on Sunday Jan. 26.
The squad will then hit the road to face Buffalo in a neutral site in New Haven, Conn. on Saturday Feb. 1 and conclude the weekend at Yale on Sunday Feb. 2.
The Blue and White will return home to host three double-headers and a matchup over the next two weekends. On Saturday Feb. 8, the men will matchup with St. Bonaventure and St. Joes. They will close out the first weekend on Sunday Feb. 9 against Toledo and Mount St. Mary’s. On Saturday Feb. 15, the Nittany Lions will welcome St. Francis and Drexel, and will conclude the busy home stretch against Georgetown on Sunday Feb. 16.
The men will travel for the last double-header of the season to face Columbia on Mar. 2. Continuing their road stretch, the Nittany Lions will begin their Big Ten slate at Ohio State on Saturday Mar. 8.
Finishing off their travel streak, the squad will face new Big Ten opponents on the West Coast against Washington on Friday Mar. 14 and Oregon on Sunday Mar. 16.
Back at home, the Blue and White will host Nebraska on Friday Mar. 21 and Wisconsin on Sunday Mar. 23.
The men will pack up to travel to Michigan State on Saturday Mar. 29 and complete the weekend at Michigan on Sunday Mar. 30.
The squad will return home to face new Big Ten team USC on Friday Apr. 4 and a double-header against new member UCLA and non-conference opponent Mercyhurst on Sunday Apr. 6.
For the last away trip of the regular season, Penn State will meet Northwestern on Friday Apr. 11 and Illinois on Sunday Apr. 13.
Returning home for one last stretch, the men will host Purdue on Friday Apr. 18 and Indiana on Sunday Apr. 20 for Senior Day.
The 2025 Big Ten Tournament is scheduled to begin Thursday, Apr. 24.
