UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.– Head coach Jeff Tambroni and the Penn State men’s lacrosse program announced their schedule for the 2025 season on Wednesday afternoon. The 12-game regular season schedule includes seven home games in the friendly confines of Panzer Stadium along with five away contests.
The schedule features matchups with four teams that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2024. The Nittany Lions will launch the 2025 campaign with a challenging out-of-conference schedule, including showdowns with three Ivy League opponents.
For the second straight year, Penn State will kick off the season at home against Colgate on February 1. The Nittany Lions will then travel down to Villanova for their first road test of the season on Sunday, February 9. The month of February concludes with two consecutive home battles against Princeton (Feb. 15) and Navy (Feb. 22).
March begins with a pair of away games as Penn State takes on Yale (Mar. 1) and Cornell (Mar. 8) for the fourth-straight season. The out-of-conference slate concludes at home on March 12 when the Nittany Lions welcome Robert Morris to University Park.
Penn State will face three of their five Big Ten foes at home, beginning with a home matchup against Ohio State on Saturday, March 22. Penn State will then hit the road to face Maryland (Mar. 29), and Michigan (Apr. 5) in a rematch of the 2024 Big Ten Tournament semifinals and finals.
The Nittany Lions will play host to Johns Hopkins on April 12 and Rutgers on April 19, which will also serve as Senior Day, to wrap up the regular season.
All six teams in the Big Ten will qualify for the 2025 Big Ten Tournament. The top two teams in the final regular season standings will earn a bye into the semifinals, with the teams that finish third through sixth playing quarterfinal games (hosted by the number 3 and 4 seeds) on Saturday, April 26. The University of Michigan will be the site of this year’s Big Ten semifinals and championship game, taking place on May 1 and May 3, respectively.
All Penn State men’s lacrosse home games will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network or live streamed on Big Ten Plus. Exact details on where to watch will be posted on the website schedule once it is finalized. The television schedules for away games will be announced as they become available. Away games not broadcast on television will be live streamed by the host school.
