BAKU, Azerbaijan – Former Penn State men's gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik won gold on pommel horse at the Baku World Cup on Sunday.
Nedoroscik, a member of the U.S. National team, tied for first with Taiwan's Chih Kai Lee on the apparatus, both earning a score of 15.400.
In 2019, Nedoroscik was scheduled to compete in Baku, but he had to return to the United States before COVID shut down the airports.
The following year, Nedoroscik became the United States' first ever World Champion on pommel horse.
Nedoroscik competed for Penn State from 2017-2020, where he won two national titles.
