Men's Lacrosse Earns Two Big Ten Weekly Awards

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Penn State men's lacrosse team captured a pair of Big Ten weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon. TJ Malone was named Offensive Player of the Week while Will Costin was named Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Malone earns his third Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week awards after posting four goals and one assist in Penn State's 15-9 victory over Rutgers. It was the graduate student's seventh five-point plus game of the season. Malone currently leads the Big Ten in points and is second in assists. On the year, he has 32 goals and 29 assists for 61 points. 
 
Costin earns his first Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor after leading the Nittany Lion defense with three caused turnovers and scooping four ground balls in Penn State's 15-9 victory over Rutgers. He tied his career-high in caused turnovers in a single game a tallied a career-high in ground balls in a single game. On the year, Costin has caused 10 turnovers and scooped 15 ground balls.
 
Penn State returns to action on Saturday, April 27 when they host Rutgers for the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. Game-time is set for 3 p.m.
