UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – After sweeping its series at Maryland to earn a spot in the Big Ten Tournament Presented by IFS.ai, the Penn State baseball team will open the tournament on Tuesday, May 21 against Illinois at 7 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network and the FOX Sports app. The tournament is being played at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb.
The Nittany Lions enter the tournament as the No. 8 seed against the No. 1 seed Illini.
Penn State will play again on Thursday at either 11 a.m. or 7 p.m. against No. 4 seed Michigan or No. 5 seed Iowa.

Penn State, in its first season under head coach Mike Gambino, finished the regular season with a 26-23 overall record and a 12-12 mark in Big Ten play.
The Nittany Lions posted their first winning record since 2016 and first Big Ten record of .500 or better since 2016.
Penn State concluded the regular season with a three-game sweep at Maryland, earning an 8-4 win on Thursday before sweeping Friday's doubleheader, 6-5 (10 innings) and 19-7.
The Nittany Lions won five of their last six Big Ten games of the season, including two wins over Rutgers and three over Maryland.
