PHOENIX – The Penn State men's basketball team will face Virginia Tech in the 2024 Hall of Fame Series Baltimore at CFG Bank Arena on Friday, Nov. 15, as announced by Position Sports in association with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tuesday.

The event marks the first time the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame has held an event in Charm City. The Penn State-Virginia Tech game will be part of a doubleheader that also features Villanova vs. Virginia at CFG Bank Arena.

Tickets for the Hall of Fame Series Baltimore will go on sale on Wednesday, May 22, at 10 a.m. HERE. Tipoff time and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.

"We are thrilled to have our team compete in the Hall of Fame Series in Baltimore versus Virginia Tech on November 15," said Peter and Ann Tombros Endowed Head Coach Mike Rhoades. "It will be a high-level event with two great college basketball games. We're excited to connect not only with our Penn State alumni in the DMV area, but also with the very passionate basketball fan base in Baltimore."

Penn State and Virginia Tech will meet for the 12th time in program history. The Hokies own a 7-4 all-time advantage, but the Nittany Lions have won three of the last four matchups. Penn State and Virginia Tech last met in the Charleston Classic semifinals on Nov. 18, 2022, with the Hokies earning a slim 61-59 win.

The Nittany Lions will be playing in Baltimore for the first time since Nov. 24, 1997, when Penn State visited Loyola (Md.). Baltimore is home to reigning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Ace Baldwin Jr., who was a three-time first-team All-State honoree at St. Frances Academy.
