Jordan Hill Named Penn State Football’s Director of Life Skills

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Football Letterman Jordan Hill (2009-12) has joined the Nittany Lions football program as its new director of life skills.
 
"I would like to thank Coach Franklin for giving me this incredible opportunity to return to a program and university that I have so much passion for," said Hill. "I am excited to join this incredible staff and help guide the young men in this football program in any way I can. This is a special place and I am thrilled to be back and helping contribute to this outstanding organization."
 
Hill comes to Penn State from Trinity High School, where he was previously director of advancement and head football coach of the Shamrocks.
 
Hill was a force on the defensive line for the Nittany Lions, finishing his Penn State career with 171 total tackles, including 9.5 sacks. Following a productive first two seasons with Penn State, Hill made a name for himself on the Nittany Lions' defensive interior during his 2011 junior year, posting 59 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks to earn honorable mention All-Big Ten honors. He then posted a 64-tackle, 4.5-sack season his senior year and was named first-team All-Big Ten for his efforts in 2012.
 
He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round (87th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. He  played four seasons in the league, highlighted by a 5.5-sack campaign for the Super Bowl Champion Seahawks in 2014. Hill concluded his NFL career in 2016 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In total, he accumulated 50 tackles, seven sacks, an interception and 15 quarterback hits during his NFL career.
 
With Hill's hire, a total of 16 Penn State Football Lettermen are either a member of Penn State Football's staff or athletic department staff. Hill joins Deion Barnes (Defensive Line), Ty Howle (Co-Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends), Terry Smith (Associate Head Coach/Defensive Recruiting Coordinator/Cornerbacks), Torrence Brown (Defensive Graduate Assistant), Jordan Lucas (Defensive Graduate Assistant), Dan Connor (Defensive Analyst), Andrew Nelson (Director of Performance Science), Tyrone Smith (Assistant Director of Athletic Performance), Alan Zemaitis (Recruiting Coordinator), Todd Kulka (Director Of Football Academic Services), Wally Richardson (Director of the Football Letterman's Club), Omar Easy (Assistant AD for the Brand Academy), Michael Mauti (Associate Director of Development), Bobby White (Assistant AD for Premium Seating) and Dan Vasey (Assistant Director of High Performance).
