Inside Lacrosse Names Hollin Preseason First-Team All-American

Penn State was picked 19th in the KANE Women’s Division I Media Poll

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Senior Ellie Hollin of Penn State women’s lacrosse was tabbed a preseason first-team All-American by Inside Lacrosse the organization announced Monday morning. The defender earned a third-team nod at the end of the 2025 season.

The Monkton, Maryland, native was second on the team last season in caused turnovers with 21 and scooped up 21 groundballs in 2024. She held some of the top scorers in the country (Ava Angello [Johns Hopkins], Elle Clevenger [Maryland], Cassidy Spilis [Rutgers]) to two goals each.

Hollin has spent the off season with the U.S. Women’s Field National Team at two training camps where she has competed for an invite to the final camp held at the USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Maryland, in June. There, Team USA will make final roster decisions for the travel party to the 2026 Pan-American Women’s Lacrosse Championship Qualifier. The top four teams at the qualifier will earn a bid to the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship.
