Men’s Lacrosse Lands Five on Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-America List

Two Nittany Lions added to the list midseason

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State men’s lacrosse secures five Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-America nods as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon. The Nittany Lions had three on the preseason watch list and have added another two names through the half-way point of the 2025 campaign. Freshman Hunter Aquino and senior Kevin Parnham join senior Matt Traynor, senior Jack Fracyon and junior Alex Ross on the list of top players in division I college lacrosse.

Aquino was named to the first team list after an impressive start to his rookie season, totaling 26 points, 11 goals and 15 assists to rank second in the conference in assists per game (1.88) and fourth in points per game (3.25). The Easton, Pa. native has had three five-plus point outings including a seven-point performance at Yale and a five-point afternoon in PSU’s upset win over no. 3 Cornell. In the victory over the Big Red, Aquino tallied one goal and four assists, his final two assists came on the game-tying goal and the game-winning goal in overtime. He has garnered three Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors and two National Player of the Week nods.

Parnham, an honorable mention, is added to the Midseason Watch List after a strong defensive start to the season. He has tallied 19 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers as he sits second in the B1G in caused turnovers per game (2.00). The Tewksbury, N.J. native had a career day against Navy, putting up four caused turnovers and four ground balls on the stat sheet.

Traynor repeats on the IL Midseason All-American list as a third team member after an honorable mention selection in the initial list. To begin the 2025 season, he led the conference in points and goals, averaging 5.5 points per game and 4.0 goals per game prior to being sidelined for two games. Upon returning to the lineup, Traynor added four points using one goal and four assists against no. 9 Ohio State in PSU’s most recent contest. He remains the points per game leader in the conference (4.67), ranks second in goals per game (2.63) and third in assists per game (1.83).

Ross is the second first team member for the Nittany Lions after being placed on the third team list to begin the season. He ranks second in the conference in caused turnovers per game (2.0), totaling 16 on the season. The Davidsonville, Md. native had a game-changing outing at no. 3 Cornell, tallying his first career goal while also collecting a ground ball and posting two caused turnovers. After this performance, he earned his first Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week nod of his career.

Fracyon also repeats on the Midseason list as an honorable mention after leading the Nittany Lions between the pipes to an impressive start to the season. He ranks third in the B1G in saves per game (9.75) and ranks fourth in save percentage (.520) and fourth in goals against average (9.21). Fracyon was named the Big Ten Specialist of the Week after holding Villanova to just five goals on the road while making 10 saves and adding four ground balls and one caused turnover.
