UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State baseball’s game against West Virginia on Tuesday, April 8 has been canceled due to anticipated cold weather. The game will not be made up.
The teams will meet in Happy Valley on Tuesday, April 22 at 5:30 p.m. on Dollar Dog Night.
Penn State returns to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park next weekend, April 11-13, for a three-game series against USC, beginning on Friday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Friday’s game is a White Out, encouraging fans to wear white.
Saturday’s first pitch is set for 5:30 p.m. and will feature postgame fireworks, postgame autographs and a trading card giveaway.
Sunday’s game will start at 1 p.m. and includes postgame kids run the bases (12 and under).
All games will be broadcast on B1G+.
All home games are free admission for all ages.
Penn State, led by head coach Mike Gambino, is 21-10 this season after road sweep at Minnesota this past weekend.
The Nittany Lions combined for 30 runs, 37 hits, nine doubles, two triples and nine homers in the series.
Penn State has earned two road series sweeps (at Longwood, at Minnesota) in a season for the first time since 2000 (at Norfolk State, at Iowa).
PSU swept a Big Ten road series for the first time since Maryland in 2024.
