UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State track and field teams begin their outdoor postseason competition with the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore. Friday through Sunday.
Action begins Friday at 3p.m. ET/noon PT. Saturday’s events will kick off at 12:30 p.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT, while the third and final day of action will begin at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT Sunday.

The Nittany Lions wrapped up outdoor regular season competition at the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, New Jersey, on Saturday, May 3.
The men’s and women’s teams dominated in the 1500-meter races. Ada Rand and Lea Hatcher placed second and third, respectively. Rand clocked in at 4:15.24 to become No. 7 on the all-time program list while Hatcher clocked in at 4:16.26 to set the No. 8 mark. For the men, Nick Sloff finished in third place in 3:41.13 to set the No. 7 time in program history.
The men’s 3000-meter steeplechase saw a trio of Nittany Lions set new personal bests. Justin Healey finished in third (8:52.42), Ryan Watson finished in fourth (8:53.81) and Logan Strawser finished in 11th (9:04.79).
Joe White recorded a fifth-place finish in the men’s long jump, setting a new PR of 7.36 (24-1 ¾).
Both the men’s and women’s 200 and 400-meter runner groups dominated day two of the meet. Zoey Goldstein recorded a second-place finish in the 200-meter (24.18) and a third-place finish in the 400-meter (54.35).
Lauren Princz, Mimi Duffy and Alexandria North all collected PRs in the 200-meter race. Princz finished third (24.31), Duffy finished in eighth (24.71) and North finished in 10th (24.95) place.
In the 400-meter race, North and Duffy collected their second PRs of the day while Harriett Healey also collected one. North finished in fourth (54.81), Duffy finished in ninth (56.07) and Healey finished in 12th (56.80).
Jake Palermo won both the 200 and 400-meter races on the men’s side. Palermo set a PR of 21.11 in the 200-meter race while he recorded 46.57 in the 400-meter race.
Emi Erekosima placed second in the men’s triple jump, recording a new PR of 15.29m (50-2).
