EUGENE, Ore. – The Penn State track and field teams finished the first day of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. with the men’s 4x400-meter relay team advancing to the event finals.
NCAA EVENT PERFORMANCES
The men’s 4x400-meter relay squad of Handal Roban, James Onwuka, Max DeAngelo, Jake Palermo, Josh Stolarski and Matt DeMatteo finished in fifth place overall at 3:03.39 to record the No. 3 all-time mark in program history in the semifinals to advance to finals on Friday, June 13.
Allon Clay and Roban represented the Penn State men’s team in the 800-meter race. Clay ran in 1:47.17 to set a new outdoor PR while Roban ran 1:47.41 to close out their 2025 outdoor seasons.

The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will continue with the first women’s day on Thursday, June 12 in Eugene, Ore. Events for Penn State begin at 7:38 p.m. ET with the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase.
