UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Peter and Ann Tombros Endowed Head Coach Mike Rhoades has announced the signing of six-foot-five Turkish guard Melih Tunca ahead of the 2025-26 season.

- Played 2024-25 season with Turk Telekom in the Turkish Basketball Super League, the top professional league in Turkey, earning Young Player of the Regular Season honors. Averaged 6.7 points, 2.2 assists and 1.1 rebounds per game through 30 games while shooting 55.0 percent from two-point range, 47.5 percent from 3-point range and 96.4 percent from the free throw line.
- Scored season-best 19 points behind a 4-for-6 showing from 3-point range on May 26 vs. Buyukcekmece.
- Saw action in 17 games in 2024-25 Eurocup with Turk Telecom and also represented Turkey in 2025 European Championship.
- Played 2023-24 season for Anadolu Efes in Istanbul, averaging 2.9 points, 1.0 assists and 0.6 rebounds per game through 28 games.
- Averaged 17.6 points, 6.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 53.3 percent from the field in FIBA U20 Euro Championship in 2024.
- Competed in FIBA U19 World Cup and FIBA U18 Euro Championship in 2023, averaging 15.7 points and 4.7 assists per game through six games in U18 Euro Championship.
