UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Head women’s basketball coach Carolyn Kieger announces the addition of Viktoria Ranisavljevic to her 2025-26 Lady Lions team. A Switzerland native, Ranisavljevic brings a tremendous level of national team experience as a dynamic guard and high-level scorer.
“We are thrilled to welcome Vicki to our Lady Lion family,” said Kieger. “Her international experience, high basketball IQ, and relentless work ethic will bring great value to our program. She plays with a fearless edge, sees the floor exceptionally well, and competes with a maturity beyond her years. We’re excited for what she’ll add to our team culture and our style of play.”
Ranisavljevic has been an impact player for her country since she was 13 years old, when she was one of the youngest players in Switzerland to join the U16 national squad at the FIBA U16 European Championship Division B. In 2025, Ranisavljevic made her debut with the senior national team at the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers where she helped guide her team to their first European Championship final since 1956. She appeared in six games, averaging 6.7 points 0.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists throughout the qualification games as one of the youngest-ever players on the Swiss senior national team. In the main tournament, Ranisavljevic played in three group stage contests and averaged 5.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
