UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Athletics has announced game day themes for the 2025 football season presented by PSECU.
As previously announced the nationally-recognized Penn State White Out is scheduled for Sept. 27 against Oregon, while the Stripe Out will take place on Oct. 11 against Northwestern and the Helmet Stripe happening on Nov. 8 against Indiana.
2025 Penn State Football Game Themes:
Aug. 30 – Nevada (3:30 p.m. ET - CBS): 107K Family Reunion – Purchase Tickets
- The Nevada game is presented by West Shore Home. This will be the first game played on West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium since the generous gift of the Werzyn family and West Shore Home.
Sept. 6 – FIU (noon ET – BTN): THON Game – Purchase Tickets
- Penn State Football will be partnering with THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world.
- THON has raised more than $236,000,000 in its history to benefit Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children's Hospital in the fight against childhood cancer.
- Families and THON volunteers will be invited to the game and the team will wear a THON helmet sticker.
- Additional game initiatives: Youth Sports Day, Youth Spirit Day
- The FIU game is presented by Slaymaker.
Sept. 13 – Villanova (3:30 p.m. ET – FS1): All-U Day – Purchase Tickets
- The annual All-University Day will include involvement of student representatives from all Penn State campuses during halftime.
- All-U Day celebration includes recognizing all and Commonwealth Campuses.
- The Villanova game is presented by Highmark.
Sept. 27 – Oregon (7:30 p.m. ET – NBC): Penn State White Out – Purchase Tickets
- All fans are encouraged to sport white attire to ensure a Penn State White Out for the clash with the Ducks.

- The Oregon game is presented by MI Windows and Doors.
Oct. 11 – Northwestern (time and network TBD): Homecoming and Stripe Out – Purchase Tickets
- Penn State Homecoming will celebrate the 2025-26 Guide State Forward award winners during the game.
- The annual Homecoming Parade will return to campus and downtown State College on Friday night, October 10.
- The football team will once again turn back the clock for a special "Generations of Greatness" game, donning uniforms with design elements from uniforms past.
- Northwestern will also mark the return of the Penn State Stripe Out.
- Each section will be coordinated in either all blue or white clothing to create a stripe effect at West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium. A map can be found here.
- Additional game initiatives: AG Day, Penn State Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day, First Responders Appreciation Day
- The Northwestern game is presented by Penn State Health.
Nov. 8 – Indiana (time and network TBD): Helmet Stripe and Military Appreciation – Purchase Tickets
- For the fourth time, West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium will have a "helmet stripe" stadium layout.
- To complete the look, the majority of West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium will wear white, while a select sections on the East and West side of the stadium will wear blue, to resemble one of Penn State's classic helmets. A map can be found here.
- Penn State will also honor the men and women who have bravely served our country by dedicating a game to them when the Nittany Lions take the field against Indiana.

- ROTC elite, active duty, veterans and military families will be honored during the game.
- The Military Appreciation Day activities are presented by SRS Distribution.
Nov. 22 – Nebraska (time and network TBD): Senior Day – Purchase Tickets
- The home schedule concludes with Senior Day. The Nittany Lion seniors will be introduced for the final time in front of the West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium faithful.
- Other seniors associated with the program, as well as member from band and spirit, will also be recognized.
- Additional game initiatives: Parents and Families Day, Penn State Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day, Educator Appreciation Day, First Responders Appreciation Day
- The Senior Day ceremonies are presented by the Penn State Alumni Association.
