NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Graduate student Ben Liscum was honored as one of 20 student-athletes named to the inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Fall Team as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics on Tuesday morning.
These 20 student-athletes are recognized for their exceptional achievements in community service, athletics and academics. Last winter marked the first-ever expansion of the Good Works Team to include student-athletes from all collegiate sports and divisions. The list formerly recognized only football athletes.
The final team was voted on by the program’s esteemed Selection Committee. The fall team includes men and women from NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, junior/community college and the NAIA – representing seven collegiate sports, including soccer, volleyball, cross country, field hockey and water polo. Honorees were selected for supporting causes like pediatric cancer care, disability inclusion, food and housing insecurity and education access.
