UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State head swimming and diving coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron has added Trevor Sisson to her coaching staff as the assistant diving coach.
Sisson joins the Penn State staff after coaching the 2024-25 season as the diving coach at Toledo. Prior to Toledo, he coached two years as diving coach at Georgia Southern (2022-24). He also served as diving coach at Bryant (2021-22), Davenport (2020-21) and Wisconsin-Whitewater (2014-17, 18-19).
At Georgia Southern, Sisson mentored Karlee Wells to four Sun Belt Conference finals, two appearances at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships and a school-record in the 3-meter (319.05).
Sisson claimed 2022 NEC Men’s Diving Coach of the Year honors, while at Bryant.
The Madison, Wisc. Native served four years at Wisconsin-Whitewater, guiding several WIAC finalists, including Sierra Becker, who was a four-time national qualifier and an All-American in 2015.
Sisson was the diving coach for Edgewood and Monona Grove High Schools from 2018-20, where he coached a three-time WIAA Division II state champion and earned WISCA Division 2 Boys’ Dive Coach of the Year accolades in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
Sisson competed at UW-Milwaukee from 2010-13. He was a Horizon League Championship finalist and was UW-Milwaukee’s Men’s Diver of the Year as a freshman. He graduated from Wisconsin-Whitewater with a bachelor of liberal arts degree in 2021.
