UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Fans can get an early look at the 2025-26 Penn State men’s basketball team on Sunday, Oct. 26, when the Nittany Lions host Shippensburg in an exhibition game inside the Bryce Jordan Center.
Tipoff time for the final tune-up before the regular season begins will be announced at a later date.
The Oct. 26 exhibition game will be the second of two exhibition contests for the Nittany Lions, who are also slated to travel to Dayton on Sunday, Oct. 19 for a charity exhibition game in support of adolescent & young adult mental health and suicide prevention.
The Nittany Lions enter their third season under Peter and Ann Tombros Endowed Head Coach Mike Rhoades in 2025-26. Rhoades has laid a strong foundation during his first two seasons and welcomes back key returnees, a top-30 recruiting class and experienced international players for the 2025-26 season. Rhoades orchestrated the highest-scoring offense in Penn State history in 2024-25 as the Nittany Lions set a single-season program record with 79.1 points per game during his second season at the helm.
Shippensburg finished the 2024-25 season at 10-19 overall and 7-14 in PSAC play.
The 2025-26 regular season will begin on Monday, Nov. 3 when Penn State hosts Fairfield.
