Rose Helps USA Sweep Suriname at NORCECA Men's Final Six

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State’s Owen Rose helped the USA Men’s Volleyball National Team sweep Suriname (25-13, 25-17, 25-11) in a round-robin match Thursday at the NOECECA Men’s Final Six in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Rose tallied three kills and an ace in the win, which helped USA improve to 3-1. Fellow Nittany Lion Ryan Merk is also on the team and has served as the team’s libero in two of the four matches. USA wraps up round-robin play at the event with a match against Puerto Rico on Friday at 9 p.m. The team has already locked up one of the four spots in the semifinals, which will be played on Saturday. The medal rounds are scheduled for Sunday.
