This marks the first career weekly accolade for Wiebusch and the second-straight B1G First Star of the Week for the Nittany Lions to open the season after Charlie Cerrato was honored last week.
Wiebusch led the nation with five goals and six points over the weekend and became the first Nittany Lion all-time to score four goals in a game during a 6-4 loss on Thursday. He then collected another goal while adding an assist in a 5-2 win on Friday.
Wiebusch currently leads the nation with six goals on the year and has scored at least one goal in three-straight games with points in all four games so far this season, including three multi-point efforts. His 10 points are good for second nationally behind Cerrato's 11.
Wiebusch now has 15 goals in his last 13 games dating back to last season including a hat-trick and a four-goal game.
