UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.  – The Penn State Nittany Lion men’s and women’s fencing teams, under the direction of head coach Matteo Zennaro, have announced their 2025-26 national collegiate schedule. Head coach Matteo Zennaro’s squad will host its home event on Sunday, Jan. 24.

The season begins for Penn State in late October when the teams trek to Philadelphia for Temple’s Nickki Franke Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26. November’s event is two weekends later when Penn State is at Ohio State for its Elite Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 8-9. The Nittany Lions trek to Boston, Mass., for the Brandeis University Invitational on Sunday, Dec. 7, for the final collegiate event of the semester.

January features two dates, with the teams travelling to the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 17-18, for the Penn Invitational in Philadelphia. Penn State then hosts its lone home event of the collegiate season, welcoming teams to Happy Valley on Sunday, Jan. 25, for the Penn State Invitational.

The Nittany Lions have two February events on the docket. Penn State is at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C., on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 7-8. The Nittany Lions then trek back to Philadelphia for the Temple Invitational on Sunday, Feb. 22.

The collegiate season comes to a close in March. Penn State will take part in the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Championships at a site to be announced on Saturday, March 7. Two weeks later, Penn State’s national qualifiers will head to South Bend, Ind., and the University of Notre Dame for the 2026 National Collegiate Fencing Championships. The four-day event runs Thursday through Sunday, March 19-22.
