VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Penn State men’s golf team concluded the fall portion of its 2025-26 schedule at the Quail Valley Intercollegiate hosted by the University of South Florida this week finishing 16th at even par, 864.
Memphis took the team win at 28-under, one stroke clear of Florida Gulf Coast in second while Kansas (26-under), Northwestern (24-under) and Minnesota (20-under) rounded out a closely contested top-five.
As he did all fall, junior Alex Creamean paced the Nittany Lions with an even par, 216, to finish the week tied for 47th after opening with a 3-under 69 in the first round and closing with a 1-under, 71, during Monday’s final round with a 4-over, 76, in between.
Classmate Robby O’Regan also finished the week tied with Creamean as he went 73-71-72 –216 with his best round coming with a pair of birdies and one lone bogey for a 1-under, 71, during Sunday’s second round.
Junior Tim Peters carded his low round of the week on Monday pacing Penn State with a 2-under, 70, highlighted by an eagle at the par-5, 10 th hole. Peters also produced a clean sheet on the front nine with a trio of birdies for the day. He finished the week 6-over and in 70th position.
Senior Andres Barraza and freshman Jackson Saroney rounded out the scoring for the week at 4-over and 5-over, respectively to finish 62nd and 67th.
Saroney matched his season low 3-under, 69, during the second round while Barraza’s low round of the week was an even-par, 72, during the second round where Penn State shot 2-under as a team.
All 16 teams in the tournament played even-par or better for the week.
