UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State women’s cross country Florence Caron has been named the Big Ten Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
Caron has continued her strong fall, leading the Nittany Lions to a seventh-place finish at the Nuttycombe Invitational, their best ever at the event. Individually, Caron finished 15th overall, running the 6K in 20:07.3. She was the first Big Ten competitor to finish at the event as well.
Caron and the Nittany Lions are back in action next Friday, Oct. 31, for Big Ten Championships hosted by Michigan State in East Lansing, Mich.
