No. 6 Penn State Welcomes Lindenwood for AHA Series
The Nittany Lions will play Lindenwood in two games beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 6 Penn State women’s ice hockey team continues its homestand, hosting Lindenwood this weekend at Pegula Ice Arena. Puck drop for Friday's game is slated for 2 p.m. while Saturday's game will begin at 1 p.m.

HISTORY
- This is the 56th meeting of the two programs with Penn State leading the series 38-11-6.
- Lindenwood has faced PSU the fourth-most of any program in PSU’s history and their 38 wins over the Lions are the second most for PSU against a single program.
- Penn State has gone unbeaten in the last 30 meetings, tying three times and winning 27 games.
- The Nittany Lions outscored Lindenwood 17-4 last season.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
- Lindenwood is 1-7-0 with their lone win coming over Merrimack. They have not played a conference game yet this season.
- Taylor Wasylk is the head coach of the Lions in her third season. She coached Penn State assistant coach Moe Bradley at UMass Boston in 2014-15 season.
- Zsofia Pazmandi, Tatiana Blichova, and Ellen Wigermo each have four points on the year, leading Lindenwood.
- Madison Bowtell and Lexington Secreto have split most of the time in goal for the Lions. Secreto has played in four games, posting a 2.31 GAA and .940 save percentage. Bowtell has played in five games, recording a 4.19 GAA and .878 save percentage.

- Parking for women’s ice hockey games at Pegula Ice Arena can be found in the Stadium West, Jordan East, and Porter North lots.
- Parking for all non-football athletics events is managed by Penn State Transportation services.
QUICK SCORING
- The Nittany Lions broke two team scoring records last weekend against Mercyhurst.
- In game one, Tessa Janecke scored just eight seconds into the second period, the fastest goal to start a period in program history.
- In game two, Katelyn Roberts and Maddy Christian scored nine seconds apart in the first period for the fastest back-to-back goals in program history.
AHA WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS
- Tessa Janecke, Danica Maynard, and Katie DeSa each won a weekly award from Atlantic Hockey America, announced this past Tuesday.
- Tessa Janecke won her ninth career Forward of the Week and first of the season after posting four points last weekend.
- Janecke won 20 of her 29 faceoffs while also posting a +3 rating.
- Danica Maynard won her second Defenseman of the Week award in a row after notching four points.
- Maynard finished the weekend with a +6 rating and now leads all skaters nationally with a +17.
- Katie DeSa was named for her second Goaltender of the Week award this season and 11th of her career after winning both games this weekend.
- DeSa made 34 saves and only allowing one goal, posting a .971 save percentage, bringing her season total to .935.
THE USUAL SUSPECTS
- The top three active scoring leaders on PSU, Tessa Janecke, Katelyn Roberts, and Maddy Christian, all chipped in this past weekend.
- The three combined for nine points while playing a part in all but one of Penn State’s goals.
- Janecke is currently on a seven-game point streak dating back to last season.
CHRISTIAN-KELLER-OUTWATER
- The highest scoring Nittany Lion line appears to not be slowing down anytime soon, combining for 26 points in eight games.
- Maddy Christian leads the group with 10 points and has at least a point in seven of the team’s eight games.
- Christian is second among all Nittany Lion skaters in plus/minus at +15 and is tied for second nationally in the same category.
- Grace Outwater leads PSU with eight goals in eight games after scoring 16 all of last season.
- Outwater and Christian each have a shorthanded goal on the year, tied with each other for the national lead after Christian led the nation in the category last season.
- Mikah Keller is third among skaters on PSU in assists with five. She also a goal and an assist in Penn State’s 6-1 win over Mercyhurst.
- Keller is also fourth on the Nittany Lions in plus/minus at +11, just behind her two linemates.
