PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Penn State swim team traveled to Pittsburgh for day two of a dual meet. Following a hard-fought battle, both teams fell to the Panthers at Trees Pool.
The meet marked the first road trip of the season for the Nittany Lions. They are coming off a successful two-home-meet stint, where they defeated the St. Bonaventure Bonnies and performed strongly against the Yale Bulldogs.
Men:
Top swims:
Eduardo Cisternas pulled off victories in both the 500- and 1000-yard free, posting times of 4:22.53 and 9:07.06, respectively. Rylan Anselm followed with a second-place finish in the 500-yard free.
Anselm also finished second in the 200-yard free with a pace of 1:36.09.
Cooper Morley pulled off two wins in the 100 and 200-yard back, earning times of 46.51 and 1:45.19. Reigning Big Ten Swimmer of the Week Mariano Lazzerini followed, winning both the 100 and 200-yard breast. Lazzerini posted times of 52.56 and 1:53.41.
Tylor Kim finished second in both the 50 and 100-yard free, posting an impressive 19.95 time and a 43.32 time.
Diving:
Alex Wodehouse placed third in the 1-meter dive, scoring a 300.60, while Hayden Elliott placed fifth in both the 3-meter dive, earning a score of 313.95, and the 1-meter dive, with a score of 274.88.

Women:
Top swims:
Morgan Moore won the 1000-yard free, posting a time of 9:51.67. Morgan Jenny placed second in the same event, with a time of 10:07.07. Moore also finished second in the 500-yard free with a pace of 4:48.50.
Catherine Meisner finished second in the 200-yard free with a time of 1:47.22. Meisner also placed second in the 200-yard IM, with a time of 2:03.35.
Katie Ketter pulled off a second-place finish in the 100-yard free, posting a pace of 50.45.
Audrey Cohen also had a second-place finish in the 200-yard breast, posting a time of 2:16.21.
Diving:
Abigail Ekstrom placed fifth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 271.88 and third in the 3-meter dive with a score of 300.45.
