Baseball Set For Indiana State Series In Bahamas

Nittany Lions will take on Sycamores in first NCAA Division I games in Bahamas

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State baseball is set to travel to Nassau, Bahamas for a three-game series against Indiana State on February 27-March 1. The Nittany Lions and Sycamores will play in the first ever NCAA Division I games on the island with a three-game set, sponsored by Atlantis, at Andre Rodgers National Baseball Stadium.

 

Game times will be 6 p.m. on Friday, 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.

 

The games will be operated by bdG Sports at the 5,000-seat stadium.

 

“We are grateful for the opportunity to get to play in the Bahamas,” said head coach Mike Gambino. “This will be a great opportunity for our players and fans to experience a tremendous venue against Indiana State, a great opponent that has been a recent regional team. Penn State finished the 2025 season with a 33-23 record, posting its second-most wins in a season. PSU reached the 30-win mark for the first time since 2011.

 

The Nittany Lions made another strong run in the Big Ten Tournament, reaching the semifinals in back-to-back years for the first time since 2000-01.

 

In Big Ten play, PSU won five Big Ten series in a season for the first time since 2012 and won three Big Ten road series for the first time since 2012. Its 15 Big Ten wins were its most since 2012 (not counting a Big Ten-only schedule in 2021).
