UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State swimming and diving team is on the road again to face Army on Thursday, November 6, at 5 p.m. and Friday for a 4 p.m. meet. Thursday will feature the diving portion, while Friday will be swim events. Live results can be found on Meet Mobile.
This is Penn State’s second road meet of the season, following a trip to the Pitt, where both the men's and women's teams fell to the Panthers.
Both teams are looking to capture their second win of the season, led by Mariano Lazzerini, Cooper Morley and Eduardo Cisternas on the men’s side, and Morgan Moore and Catherine Meisner on the women's side.
Lazzerini has seen a successful start to his senior campaign. Most recently, he won the 100-yard breast (52.56) and the 200-yard breast (1:53.41) against Pitt. Lazzerini was named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week for his performance against Yale, where he won two individual events and two relays for the Nittany Lions.
Morley and Cisternas both captured two individual event titles against Pitt. Morley won the 100-back (46.51) and the 200-back (1:45.19), while Cisternas won the 500-free (4:22.53) and the 1000-free (9:07.06).
On the women’s side, Morgan Moore earned a victory in the 1000-free (9:51.67), while Catherine Meisner placed second in both the 200-free (1:47.22) and the 200-IM (2:03.35).
