SCOUTING ST. THOMAS AQUINAS
• St. Thomas Aquinas is 1-2 following a 3-0 sweep over LIU in its most recent match. The Spartans opened the season with losses to a pair of nationally-ranked teams (Pepperdine and USC).
• The Spartans were picked as the favorite to win the East Conference this season. They are the defending regular season and conference tournament champions after going 16-9 overall and unbeaten at 6-0 in the conference last season.
• Junior outside hitter Kyran Versteegen was named a co-Preseason Player of the Year in the ECC. Versteegen was the Player of the Year following the 2024 season.
SCOUTING LEWIS
• Lewis is ranked ninth in the AVCA Coaches Poll and is 3-0 following three sweeps over Menlo, No. 9 Stanford, and Roosevelt to open the season.
• The Flyers were picked fourth in the 2026 MIVA Preseason Poll. Senior opposite Oguzhan Oguz and senior libero Nico Paula were named to the Preseason All-MIVA Team.
• Oguz was a first-team All-MIVA selection last season. Paula made the second team, as did redshirt sophomore middle blocker Frederick Krueger-Beer.
