UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Penn State men’s tennis team is set for its second home doubleheader of the spring season on Saturday, January 24. The Nittany Lions will square off against Temple at 10 a.m. and Saint Francis at 3 p.m.
THE NITTANY LIONS
The Nittany Lions are entering the weekend with a 2-0 record after defeating Cleveland State and Fordham last Saturday. The team dominated the Vikings, 6-1, early in the day and beat the Rams with the same score to conclude its home opener. Each player had at least one win in their matches last weekend.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Temple kicks off its spring season in Happy Valley. The Nittany Lions own a 17-5 all-time record against the Owls. Penn State earned a 4-2 victory in the most recent meeting with Temple last season. Saint Francis lost its first match of the season, 2-5, to Navy and comes to Happy Valley with a 0-1 record. The Nittany Lions are 4-0 all-time against Saint Francis, with the most recent meeting coming in the form of a 6-1 Penn State win last season.

The Nittany Lions will be back in action next Saturday, Jan. 31, with their third-straight home doubleheader against Saint Joseph’s (10 a.m.) and Mount St. Mary’s (3 p.m.).
