UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women’s lacrosse team has announced it 2026 schedule, featuring nine home games taking place at Panzer Stadium.
The Nittany Lions start the season on the road, facing off against Richmond on February 7 for the team’s first season opener on the road since 2022.
After the first outing, the Nittany Lions have three straight home games, beginning with a battle against UMass on February 11 at noon for the teams’ first meeting since the 2013 season. After, Penn State hosts fellow Pennsylvania schools Bucknell and Pittsburgh, with the games taking place on February 15 at 11 p.m. and February 18 at 5 p.m., respectively.
Penn State goes on the road for a pair of games, playing Drexel on February 22 followed by Cornell on February 28. The Nittany Lions look to extend their lead in both all-time series, already owning a historical record of 9-3 over Drexel and 15-4 over Cornell.
After the two-game road stretch, the Nittany Lions return home and play Colgate on March 4 at 12 p.m., hoping to remain undefeated historically against the Raiders and extend their series lead to 11-0.
Penn State then takes a trip out to the West Coast, playing San Diego State on March 8 at 3 p.m. EST as well as Southern California on March 12. The meeting against the Aztecs marks the first ever contest between the two foes, and the meeting against USC is just the second meeting all-time.
After returning from California, Penn State faces off against Princeton at 12 p.m. on March 15. In the 2025 NCAA Tournament, Princeton were quarterfinalists, losing to eventual national champions North Carolina. After playing the Tigers, Penn State gets its first home Big Ten game when the team faces Michigan on March 22 at 12 p.m. Last time out against the Wolverines, Penn State won a 13-12 overtime thriller.
Penn State travels to College Park, Maryland after the Michigan game, playing the Terrapins in a game on March 29 at 12 p.m. Next, the Nittany Lions head to Columbus to play Ohio State, whom Penn State defeated 12-11 in overtime in the last matchup between the two teams. The game between Penn State and Ohio State takes place on April 5, also at noon.
The Nittany Lions come back from their two Big Ten road games to face a three-game home stand. Penn State plays host to Oregon on April 9 at 8 p.m. to begin the stretch. In 2025, the Nittany Lions defeated the Ducks 19-10 in Eugene.Northwestern in next on the docket on April 12 at 11 a.m. The Wildcats went on a deep run in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, losing in the finals to North Carolina. The last regular season home game for 2025 comes when Johns Hopkins faces off against the Nittany Lions on April 16 at 6 p.m. Johns Hopkins also made the NCAA Tournament last year, making it to the second round before losing to fellow 2026 Penn State opponent, Princeton.
To round out the regular season, Penn State travels to New Brunswick and faces Rutgers on April 18.
The opening round of the 2026 Big Ten Tournament will be hosted by the higher seed, after which the semifinals and finals will be hosted at Michigan at the UM Lacrosse Field. The No. 1-overall seed will receive a first-round bye, while the other teams will compete in quarterfinals matchups.
