UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Penn State men’s tennis team returns home for a doubleheader on Saturday, February 14. The team will take on Georgetown at 9 a.m. and Mercyhurst at 2:30 p.m. in the Indoor Tennis Center.
Penn State carries a 7-1 spring record into Saturday’s doubleheader. The Nittany Lions traveled to Lynchburg, Va., last weekend and defeated William & Mary 4-3 before suffering their first loss of the season to Liberty, 1-6.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Georgetown owns a 15-14 all-time advantage against Penn State. The last meeting between the two teams occurred in 2023 and resulted in a 6-1 win for the Nittany Lions. The Hoyas are currently 1-2 in the spring season.
Penn State is 10-1 all-time vs. Mercyhurst, with the most recent meeting being a 7-0 Nittany Lion win last season. The Lakers are 0-1 so far this season.
