No. 64 Men’s Tennis Set to Face No.19 Princeton on Saturday

The Nittany Lions travel for third away match of the season

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The No. 64 Penn State men’s tennis team is set to travel to Princeton, N.J., to take on No. 19 Princeton on Saturday, February 21, at 4:30 p.m. 

 

The Nittany Lions are coming off a doubleheader sweep against Georgetown and Mercyhurst last weekend. Kyle Chesman, Reiya Hattori, David Lindsay, Marcus Schoeman, and Michael Wright all achieved two singles wins throughout the doubleheader.  

 

Christos Glavas and Emil Matikainen each earned a singles victory in their matches as well. The doubles teams of Chesman and Schoeman and Hattori and Lindsay earned two doubles victories. 

 

 

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION 

 

The Princeton men’s tennis team is currently 9-3 and will face Buffalo before Penn State’s match on Saturday. The Tigers own a 19-8 all-time advantage over the Nittany Lions. The teams last met in 2024, with Princeton earning a 4-0 win.

The Nittany Lions travel to New Haven, Conn., to compete against Fairfield on Friday, February 27, at 5 p.m. and No. 31 Yale on Saturday, February 28, at 10 a.m.
