Lipka Earns 100th Career Head Coaching Win with 7-0 Victory Against Fairfield

The Nittany Lions advance to 10-2 for the season

NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The No. 61 Penn State men’s tennis team sweeps Fairfield in a 7-0 Victory on Friday, February 27. The team earned Head Coach Lipka his 100th career coaching win.  

 

Doubles duo David Lindsay and Michael Wright earned their fifth win of the season. Wright earned his 12th singles win, and Reiya Hattori and Marcus Schoeman advanced to nine singles victories for the season. 

 

Doubles 

 

Lindsay and Wright took down Kostas Kollias and Kacper Krolikowski 7-5 on court one. 

On court two, Kyle Chesman and Schoeman defeated Alex Aguiar and Calum Jessett 6-1. 

Finishing out the doubles pairs, Hattori and Eyal Shyovitz faced Luca Benaibbouche and Pol Otin and won 6-1. 

 

 

Singles 

 

Wright defeated Krolikowski on court one 7-5, 6-3. 

Hattori played on court two against Diego Alcala and won 7-6, 6-1. 

Schoeman took on Jessett and found a 6-3, 6-2 victory. 

Lindsay found a victory on court four against Domagoj Stabek, winning 6-0, 6-2. 

Shyovitz played in spot five against Kollias and won 7-6, 6-2. 

Kyle Chesman found a victory on court six against Aguiar, winning 6-2, 6-4.
