Brammer Qualifies for NCAAs, Diving Competes at 2026 NCAA Diving Zones

Junior Grace Brammer qualifies for NCAA Championships in 1-meter and 3-meter diving events

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Penn State Diving Team participated in the 2026 NCAA Diving Zones from March 9-11 at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, Md. The week was headlined by Grace Brammer, who qualified for the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. 

 

Day one was highlighted by Brammer, Abbey Ekstrom and Alex Wodehouse advancing to finals in their respective events. Brammer finished 11th in the 1-meter dive with a score of 524.60, good for an NCAA Championships bid, while Ekstrom finished 17th in the same event, with a score of 498.85. On the men’s side, Wodehouse placed eighth overall in the 3-meter dive, posting a final score of 667.70.  

 

Day two featured Brammer, Kailey Koval and Hayden Elliott in the finals for their respective events.  Brammer secured third overall in the 3-meter diving event, with an impressive final score of 629.65, securing her spot in the NCAA Championships. Koval claimed 10th overall in the same event with a score of 552.85. Elliott captured eighth overall in the 1-meter dive, scoring a 636.10. 

 

Day three featured the women’s platform dive, with Koval and Charlize Beniquez both competing. Koval placed seventh overall, posting a score of 440.45, while Beniquez finished 17th with a score of 374.95. 

 

The NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships will take place March 18-21 at McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Brammer is set to compete in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, which fans can tune in to through ESPN+.
