Men’s Tennis Falls to No. 62 Indiana 1-4

The Nittany Lions are now 13-7 for the season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.- The Penn State men’s tennis team lost its away match against No. 62 Indiana 1-4 on Sunday. The Nittany Lions now hold a 13-7 record for the season. 

 

Freshman Kyle Chesman earned Penn State a singles point by defeating Aryan Badlani 6-3, 6-4. 

 

Doubles 

 

Reiya Hattori and Eyal Shyovitz defeated Jip van Assendelft and Facundo Yunis 6-4 on court two. 

No. 62 doubles team of Michael Andre and Matteo Antonescu defeated Michael Wright and David Lindsay 6-4. 

Marcus Schoeman and Emil Matikainen lost to Sam Landau and Braeden Gelletich 4-6, earning Indiana the doubles point. 

 

 

Singles  

 

Gelletich defeated Lindsay on court four 6-3, 6-3. 

Landau beat Wright on court one 6-3, 6-2. 

Chesman took down Badlani on court six 6-3, 6-4. 

Andre defeated Hattori on court three 6-3, 6-3. 

Shyovitz’s match against Aidan Atwood went unfinished at 4-6, 4-3. 

Schoeman’s match against van Assendelft also went unfinished at 4-6, 2-5.
