UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Head coach of Penn State field hockey, Hannah Prince, has announced the addition of Allison Bitting to her inaugural coaching staff. Bitting will serve as the Director of Field Hockey Operations for the Nittany Lions.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alli Bitting to our staff as Director of Operations,” said Prince. “I had the privilege of coaching Alli at Louisville, where she was one of the best leaders and captains I’ve ever coached. She brings a rare combination of motivation, organization, and genuine care for those around her. I have no doubt she will make an immediate impact on our program, and I’m incredibly excited to have her on board.”
Bitting joins the field hockey staff after a decorated playing career at Louisville. As a Cardinal, she was named the 2021 ACC Field Hockey Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year, 2021 ACC Defensive Player of the Year, a member of the 2021 NCAA All-Tournament Team and a NFHCA Senior Team selectee. Bitting was also a three-time NFHCA All-American selection, four-time NFHCA All-West Region honoree, three-time All-ACC member and a three-time member of the ACC All-Tournament team.
During her time at Louisville, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville in 2021, with minors in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems. Bitting was originally hired to the Nittany Lion Club staff as a Stewardship Coordinator in July 2025.
