UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Penn State men’s tennis team is preparing to host No. 69 Northwestern on Friday, March 27, at 5 p.m., and No. 14 Illinois on Sunday, March 29, at 10 a.m.
The Nittany Lions are coming off a 1-1 weekend in the state of Indiana last weekend. Penn State took down Purdue 6-1 on Friday before falling to Indiana, 4-1, on Sunday. Freshman Kyle Chesman scored a singles point in both matches. The Nittany Lions are now 13-7 this spring.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
The No. 69 Wildcats are 13-8 on the season. Northwestern owns a 27-8 all-time advantage against the Nittany Lions and won last season’s matchup 4-1.
No. 14 Illinois is currently 15-4 this season. The Illini have a 38-5 all-time record against the Nittany Lions and won last season’s matchup 4-0.
