UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Penn State men’s tennis team returns home for a doubleheader on Saturday, March 7. The Nittany Lions will kick off Big Ten play when they take on Ohio State at 11:30 a.m. before facing non-conference opponent Lehigh at 5:15 p.m.
The Nittany Lions are coming off a weekend roadtrip in Connecticut in which Penn State defeated Fairfield 7-0 before dropping an 0-7 decision to No. 39 Yale. The victory against Fairfield earned Head Coach Bruce Lipka his 100th career head coaching win.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
The Ohio State men’s tennis team holds a current record of 12-1 and is ranked No.1 in the country. The Buckeyes own a 31-6 all-time advantage against the Nittany Lions. Ohio State won last season’s matchup 5-2.
Lehigh is 5-3 on the season. The Nittany Lions own a 28-19 all-time advantage over the Mountain Hawks. Penn State earned a 4-2 victory over Lehigh when the teams last met in 2024.
