UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Penn State men’s tennis team is preparing for its last home matches of the spring season.
The Nittany Lions will play Washington on Friday, April 10, at 5 p.m., and No. 59 Oregon on Sunday, April 12, at 11 a.m., for Senior Day presented by the Penn State Alumni Association before taking on St. Bonaventure at 4 p.m.
The Nittany Lions fell to No. 26 USC and No. 22 UCLA in their road matches last weekend, bringing their season record to 14-10. Freshman Kyle Chesman earned a singles point against UCLA when he defeated Leo von Bismarck 6-1, 6-4.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
The Washington men’s tennis team is 8-13 on the season. The Huskies have a 1-0 all-time advantage against the Nittany Lions after winning last season’s match 5-2.
The Ducks are 13-7 so far this season. Oregon holds Penn State to a 1-0 all-time advantage after winning last season’s meeting 4-0.
The St. Bonaventure men’s tennis team is 1-15 for the season. The Nittany Lions hold the Bonnies to a 21-0 all-time advantage. The teams last met in 2025, when Penn State earned a 7-0 victory.
UP NEXT
The team will travel to play Nebraska on Friday, April 17, and Wisconsin on Sunday, April 19, for its last weekend of regular-season play.
