UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Big Ten Conference offices announced the conference opponents for the Penn State Women’s Gymnastics program for the 2027 season on Wednesday afternoon. The Nittany Lions will play three opponents at Rec Hall, three on the road and will compete in a Big Four meet.
Penn State will compete against Illinois, Rutgers and UCLA in Rec Hall during the 2027 season and the Nittany Lions will be sent to Maryland, Minnesota and Ohio State during conference play. In the yearly Big Four meet, Penn State will travel to Washington to take on the Huskies, Michigan and Nebraska.
Dates and meet times for the Big Ten contests will be announced later this year.
The Penn State Women’s Gymnastics program is under the direction of Head Coach Sarah Brown. In her decade-long tenure at the helm of the Nittany Lions, Brown’s squads have been in NCAA Regionals in seven of the eight years that postseason competition has been conducted. During this past season, Penn State earned a spot in the Tempe Regional, scored the third-highest team score in program history and never scored below a 196.000.
