Swimming and Diving Adds Hemingway To Coaching Staff

Patrick Hemingway arrives in Happy Valley after year on Ohio State’s staff

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State swimming and diving head coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron has added Patrick Hemingway to her staff as an assistant swim coach.

 

Hemingway served on Ohio State’s staff as a graduate intern in an assistant coach role for the 2025-26 season. While on Ohio State’s staff he led and assisted in daily training sessions, assisted coaching the distance groups during training and competitions, coordinated on-campus recruiting operations and helped oversee student managers.

 

He coached at various swimming camps at Villanova, the Naval Academy, Florida and Cornell and gained experience through coaching multiple swim clubs.

 

The Harrisburg native competed at Villanova from 2021-25 where he is the Wildcats’ former record holder in the 50 free. He earned nearly 20 medals at Big East Championships during his career.

 

The two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection graduated from Villanova with a bachelor’s degree in communications and earned his masters of sports coaching degree from Ohio State.
