Beasley and Miller Named Top 100 Future ADs by Silver Waves Media

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Deputy Athletic Directors Leah Beasley and Adam Miller have been named to the Top 100 Future Athletic Directors list by Silver Waves Media.

Those included in the list are considered to be the top rising Athletic Directors and future leaders shaping the next generation of youth sports across America. Through vision, leadership, innovation and a commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for athletes and families, these individuals are making a lasting impact in their communities and beyond. From established organizations to emerging programs, this recognition highlights those helping define the future of athletics and setting the standard for what comes next.

Beasley serves as Deputy AD for Strategic Engagement and Brand Advancement at Penn State, where she oversees strategic communications, digital strategy, broadcast production, creative services, branding, marketing and the All-Sports Museum. She also serves as the primary sport administrator for softball and secondary oversight for football.

Since joining Penn State in September 2025, Beasley has brought nearly 20 years of experience to Happy Valley, helping advance the department's commitment to empowering student-athletes through innovative NIL education platforms and brand-building tools in the evolving collegiate athletics landscape.

Prior to Penn State, Beasley served as Executive AD for External Engagement at the University of Oklahoma, where she led communications, creative and digital strategy, marketing, licensing, ticket sales, and external NIL. Before Oklahoma, she spent nearly a decade at Mississippi State University, rising to Deputy AD for External Affairs, and began her career at Louisiana Tech University.

A four-year letterwinner for the Louisiana Tech softball program, Beasley earned both her bachelor's in marketing and MBA from Louisiana Tech. She is an active member of Women Leaders in Sports and has served on the boards of NACMA and the NCAA Women's Basketball Advancement Committee.

Miller currently serves as Deputy Athletic Director for External Affairs & Engagement at Penn State, where he oversees revenue-generating units including fundraising, ticketing, premium seating, parking, multimedia rights, retail and licensing and overall revenue strategy while contributing to executive leadership and long-term strategic planning.

Since joining Penn State in 2022, Miller has helped generate over $1 billion in revenue through major partnership negotiations and has led fundraising efforts that secured more than $330 million in contributions, including several of the largest gifts in program history. His leadership has resulted in record-breaking ticket sales, attendance figures, and donor engagement, as well as innovative initiatives tied to major events, facility projects, and name, image, and likeness (NIL) strategy.

Prior to Penn State, Miller held senior leadership roles at Boston College, Temple University, the University of Memphis, and the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, consistently delivering record-setting fundraising outcomes and capital project support. Across his career, he has led teams responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in philanthropic support and revenue generation while serving on executive leadership teams and guiding key institutional initiatives.

A former baseball student-athlete at Florida Southern College, Miller earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and MBA with a 4.0 GPA, graduating first in his class. He is widely recognized for his leadership in collegiate athletics advancement, external operations, and strategic development.
