UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Peter and Ann Tombros Endowed Head Coach Mike Rhoades has announced the signing of six-foot-eleven center Tim Oboh ahead of the 2026-27 Penn State men’s basketball season. Oboh comes to Happy Valley with two seasons of eligibility remaining after beginning his collegiate career as a two-year starter at Buffalo.

- Played first two collegiate seasons at Buffalo where he was a two-year starter and accumulated career marks of 388 points, 224 rebounds, 56 blocks and a 55.8 FG%.
- Started all 32 games for the Bulls during sophomore season in 2025-26. Finished the year as Buffalo’s leader in rebounds (156, 4.9 rpg) and blocks (47), while also contributing 8.5 points per game and shooting a stellar 61.1 percent from the field.
- Tallied 12 double-digit scoring efforts and two double-doubles during sophomore season. Averaged 9.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in conference play and earned Academic All-MAC honors in 2025-26.
- Made 19 starts and 30 appearances during freshman season in 2024-25, averaging 3.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in 12.3 minutes per contest.
- London, England native played for Canterbury Academy and the Kent Crusaders prior to collegiate career. Averaged just under 17 points and 12 rebounds per game in the EABL while at Canterbury. Was crowned MVP in the EABL's Southern Conference.
- Represented Great Britain at the U16 and U18 levels in European Championship competitions.
