UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Peter and Ann Tombros Endowed Head Coach Mike Rhoades has announced the signing of guard Andy Gemao ahead of the 2026-27 Penn State men’s basketball season. Gemao, a native of the Philippines who played at Royal Crown School in Toronto, Ontario, comes to Penn State as a freshman.

- Played 2025-26 high school season at Royal Crown School in Toronto, Ontario where he tallied 712 points, 256 assists and 122 rebounds as a team captain.
- Earned first-team NPA All-Star and second-team OSBA honors during senior campaign after leading team to a 19-2 regular season.
- Member of the U19 and U16 Philippines National Teams.
- Competed at 2026 adidas Eurocamp and 2026 adidas Nations Tokyo U-19 camp.
- Was a BWB Asia All-Star selection in 2024.
