NORMAN, Okla. – Junior Alex Creamean earned NCAA Division I PING All-Northeast Region honors as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA) on Saturday afternoon.
The GCAA annually recognizes NCAA Division I collegiate players across six regions -- Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West.
Creamean earns his second-straight All-Northeast Region nod becoming the 95th overall Nittany Lion honoree and the 25th to be recognized on multiple occasions since 1992-93.
The junior shaved over two shots off his stroke average from the 2024-25 campaign as he led the team with a 70.97 mark over 10 tournaments and 29 rounds this past season. Creamean carded three top-10s along with a pair of top-5 finishes with his best coming at the Moraine Intercollegiate when he finished the week tied for second at 7-under, 206.
Creamean also finished tied for fifth at 8-under, 208, his best score relative to par on the season, at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational to open the fall. He slipped a bit down the stretch but still managed six top-20’s in 10 events and concluded the B1G Championship in a tie for 23rd at 4-over following a final round 3-under, 67.
Creamean finished six of his 10 tournaments this season at even par or better.
The GCAA's Northeast Region, which covers the geographic area from Maine to Washington, D.C., comprises more than 50 NCAA Division I programs and has the largest number of schools of any region.
