UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Drake Foley, an incoming freshman for the Penn State men’s volleyball team, was recently named a High School First-Team All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Foley, a libero at Corona Del Mar High School, was one of 14 players from across the country to earn first-team recognition. Penn State was one of 10 college programs in the country to have a recruit make the first team.
Foley is currently in Guatemala City, Guatemala with Team USA for the U-21 Pan American Cup. He is joined on the team by another Penn State signee, Isiah Powell, while a third incoming freshmen for the Nittany Lions, Luc Soerensen, is an alternate for USA.
