KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Penn State men’s basketball team has received a 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award, as announced by the NABC Wednesday.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, with all men’s basketball players listed on the varsity roster during the season included in the team GPA calculation.
Penn State will enter its fourth season under Peter and Ann Tombros Endowed Head Coach Mike Rhoades in 2026-27. The Nittany Lions boast a veteran roster for 2026-27 that is filled with experienced and proven producers who bring a combination of versatility, physicality and high-level competitive success to Happy Valley.
